Metro Atlanta Memorial Day Celebrations 2025



Believe it or not, Memorial Day Weekend is just a few weeks away! If you’ll be in town for this summer-kick-off holiday, we’ve compiled a list of all the best events taking place around Atlanta.

Stone Mountain Park’s Memorial Day Weekend will feature a special salute to the troops and an extended fireworks finale with the Music Across America Drone & Light Show!  May 23rd – 26th.

The City of Alpharetta and the Rotary Club of Alpharetta will host a Memorial Day Tribute at Alpharetta City Hall. The celebration will include an invocation, the National Anthem, the Pledge of Allegiance, and a keynote address by Dr. Rich McCormick, followed by “Taps.”. May 26th 9:00 am.

Norcross will pay tribute to the troops and their families with a Memorial Day Remembrance at Thrasher Park on May 26th from 11:30 am – 1 pm.

Festival & Other Events
 
Atlanta Braves: The Braves will be hosting the Padres May 23rd – 25th.

Alpharetta Arts Streetfest: Browse art and other hand-crafted products from regional and national artisans. May 24th – 25th at the Grove at Wills Park.

Atlanta Jazz Festival: The 48th celebration of music, culture, and the art of jazz. May 24th – 26th at Piedmont Park.

Brew at the Zoo: Enjoy beer and wine samples from breweries all over including Georgia, live music throughout the Zoo, yard games, and so much more while savoring incredible views of the animals. Saturday, May 24th 5:30 – 9 pm.

Georgia Renaissance Festival: Watch knights joust while enjoying delicious food, drinks, and entertainment! May 24th – 26th in Fairburn.

Strawberry Picking: The Strawberry “u-pick” season in Atlanta actually runs from mid-April to early June for strawberries – making May the perfect month for picking. We compiled a list of the best local patches here on our blog.
